Spinal Tap II, the long-awaited and long-teased sequel to Rob Reiner’s classic 1984 movie This Is Spinal Tap, finally has a new release date. The film—originally set for a March 2024 release but delayed due to the Hollywood strikes of 2023—will get released on Friday, September 12, 2025, according to Deadline. Michael McKean, Christopher Guest, and Harry Shearer are returning to play the fictional members of Spinal Tap: David St. Hubbins, Nigel Tufnel, and Derek Smalls, respectively. The movie will also feature Paul MCartney, Elton John, and others.
