Sonic Visions returns to Saturn for a brand new edition this September! We’ll be bringing you all-new music documentaries from across the spectrum – from iconic classics of the form to underseen and off-the-beaten-path films about some of your favorite artists. For our first outing into the wide world of music on film, we bring you Charlotte Gainsbourg’s 2021 ultra-personal documentary Jane par Charlotte!

Charlotte Gainsbourg looks at her mother Jane Birkin in a way she never did, overcoming a sense of reserve. Using a camera lens, they expose themselves to each other, begin to step back, leaving space for a mother-daughter relationship.

We’ll also be bringing you a whole show around the show! Andrea Paschal will be DJing in the Satellite bar before the film, and you’ll be able to sample some French treats and have a special drink themed for the event.

The event is free, of course. However, if you’re feeling generous, we are asking for a $5 suggested donation to help cover the costs of the fun and film, as well as keep our spirits high and bright! We hope to see you there!
