Based on a novel by Robert Cormier about a teenage Catholic School student having an existential crisis in the midst of a candy bar selling contest. Directorial debut by Christine and Back to School actor Keith Gordon. Featuring music by Yaz, Peter Gabriel and was the first to cinematically sync up Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill with teen angst. Take that Stranger Things!

Midnight Madness (1980)

80s cult classic starring a young Michael J Fox and David Naughton (that guy from American Werewolf in London and one of Gareth’s favs – Hot Dog, the Movie). Leon the Game Master (who looks like a young Rick Rubin) arranges a scavenger hunt across 1980 Los Angeles. It’s ridiculous.
