Substrate Radio Freeform Radio From Alabama

Helvetia’s latest record, Get Lost and Other Dimensions kicks off with lots of dissonant guitar and a strong penchant for that lofi vibe.“Rays of You” is already one of my favorite tracks with its sweet, almost melodic beat. Think Lou Barlow – Sebadoah era, at his most stripped down. I love the drums on this record the most. They really stand out on the instrumental “Stolen.” The whole record has this very 90’s slacker mood.
Maybe the most straightforward track is “Breakfast Spot” – “I saw you at the breakfast spot, dancing in your seat.” It’s a lazy record, a little trippy, and best played in the wee hours, after a long night out. The perfect late night come down.
Hailing from Seattle, Washington, Helvetia is produced and performed by Jason Albertini who you may remember as the drummer in slowcore band, Duster as well as floating member in Built to Spill, QOTSA and others
Helvetia – the female personification of Switzerland (childhood home of Jason Albertini)
